OnVybe
OnVybeBot
OnVybe is a New Orleans events app. OnVybeBot is the small fetcher behind one feature: when a host lists an event that sells its tickets on another site, they can paste their own ticket link and OnVybe fills in the event's title, date, time and venue from that page.
What it fetches
- Only when a signed-in host pastes a link into OnVybe's event form — never on a schedule, never by following links.
- The site's
/robots.txt, then that one event page, then the event's main image. Nothing else. - Only ticketing sites (Eventbrite, Posh, DICE and similar). At most 10 pastes a minute from any one address.
- It reads the page's public event details (schema.org Event data and Open Graph tags). It doesn't log in, run scripts or submit forms.
How to identify it
- User agent:
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; OnVybeBot/1.0; +https://onvybe.com/bot) - Every request is signed with Web Bot Auth (HTTP Message Signatures, RFC 9421):
Signature-Agent: "https://onvybe.com", with the public key at /.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory. - It runs on Vercel, so its IP addresses are shared and change — the signature is the reliable check.
How to tell it no
OnVybeBot follows robots.txt (RFC 9309). To keep it off your pages, add:
User-agent: OnVybeBot Disallow: /
When a site says no, OnVybe tells the host to fill in the details themselves; the link still goes on their event page.
