Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OnVybe, Inc. ("OnVybe," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use onvybe.com and our related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, and, for hosts, payout details processed through Stripe. When you join a waitlist, we collect your email and whether you identified as an attendee or host.
- Transaction information. When you buy a ticket, we record the event, ticket tier, quantity, and amount. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store full card numbers.
- Automatically collected information. Device, browser, and usage data, including IP address and pages viewed, collected through standard web technologies.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the Services — process tickets, deliver access passes, and support hosts.
- To communicate with you about events, orders, and, if you opt in, launch updates.
- To improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- With event hosts, the information necessary to admit you to their event (such as your name and ticket status).
- With service providers like Stripe (payments), our email provider, and hosting infrastructure, who process data on our behalf.
- For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
We do not sell your personal information. We do share limited, hashed identifiers with Meta for advertising measurement as described in Section 4 — under some state privacy laws this counts as "sharing" for targeted advertising, and you can opt out by contacting us or by using your device's ad-tracking controls.
4. Advertising and Measurement
We advertise our events on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To understand which ads actually lead to ticket sales, we use Meta's advertising tools:
- Meta Pixel. A small script on our website that records page views and sends them to Meta along with your IP address and browser information.
- Meta Conversions API. When you complete a ticket purchase, our server tells Meta that a purchase happened and its value. To let Meta match that purchase to an ad, we send your email address and phone number as an irreversible cryptographic hash — never in readable form. Meta compares those hashes against its own; it does not receive your actual email or phone number from us.
We use this only to measure and improve our advertising. We do not use it to build profiles about you for any other purpose, and we do not send Meta information about which specific events you browse.
Meta processes this data under its own terms. You can control how Meta uses it in your Facebook or Instagram Ad Preferences, and you can limit tracking generally through your browser settings or your device's ad-tracking controls.
5. SMS / Text Messaging
If you opt in to text messages — by checking the SMS consent box and providing your mobile number — OnVybe sends recurring event alerts, launch updates, and account notifications by SMS. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
- No mobile opt-in information or phone numbers are shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers collected for SMS are used only to send the messages you opted into, and are shared solely with our SMS provider (Twilio) as needed to deliver them.
Full program details are on our SMS Terms page.
6. Your Choices
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
- You can opt out of our advertising measurement by using your device's ad-tracking controls, your browser's privacy settings, or your Meta Ad Preferences.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
7. Data Retention & Security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Some events carry age restrictions (such as 18+ or 21+) set by hosts.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
