Is it free to create an event?
Yes. Publishing an event on OnVybe is free — no listing fee, no monthly subscription, no setup cost. You only pay a per-ticket service fee on paid tickets you actually sell.
Are free events really free?
Yes. A $0 / Free RSVP ticket carries no OnVybe platform fee at all. (Optional paid services a host might add on are separate and not free — only free tickets are.)
Who pays the ticket fee?
The attendee, by default — so you keep the full ticket price you set. You can choose to absorb the fee instead (round-number prices for buyers), per event.
How much does the host receive?
In the default attendee-paid mode, you receive the full advertised ticket price (the subtotal). The fee is added on top for the buyer. If you absorb the fee, it comes out of your cut.
What does it cost to sell a ticket?
10% + 79¢ per paid ticket, with payment processing included — there's no separate Stripe line. Verified hosts sell for 7% + 79¢.
How do I get to 7%?
Get certified. Certification is a trust review we run — it isn't bought and it isn't a plan you upgrade to. Once your account is certified, your rate is 7% + 79¢ per paid ticket.
Do rates change after I join?
Your rate is set on your account, not per event. If your account's rate ever changes — for example, when you get certified — it applies from that point forward; tickets already sold aren't retouched.
Can the organizer absorb the fee?
Yes. Per event you can switch to organizer-absorbed pricing, so attendees see round-number prices and the fee comes from your payout instead.
When are payouts sent?
Ticket money is held until about 24 hours after the event (up to 72 hours for your very first payout), then sent to your bank account. Standard scheduled payouts have no OnVybe cashout fee.
What is instant cashout?
Where supported and available, an eligible host can pull their held balance before the scheduled release for an instant-cashout fee (5% on the standard rate; some account tiers carry a lower fee). Standard payouts after the event remain free.
Who qualifies for early payout?
Early payouts may be available to eligible, established hosts. It isn't an automatic entitlement — you'll see the option on your dashboard if it's enabled for your account.
What happens when a ticket is refunded?
Refunds follow the refund policy the host sets for the event (shown at checkout). When a paid ticket is refunded, its inventory is released and the associated payout is reversed.
Are chargebacks handled?
If a buyer disputes a charge, OnVybe's team handles it — you'll get a heads-up, and no action is needed from you.
Can large venues get custom pricing?
Yes. Major venues, festivals, institutions, and high-volume organizers can get Partner pricing — contact us to talk terms.
